Details of Position: #
As a teacher at our school, you will be responsible for;
• Planning, evaluating, and delivering lessons;
• Introduce children to the disciplines of mathematics, language, science, and social
studies;
• Use games, music, artwork, films, books, computers, and other tools to teach basic
skills;
• Cooperate with colleagues to plan and implement school activities both indoors
and outdoors;
• Be responsible for children’s daily learning and living at kindergarten and ensure
their safety;
• Write quarterly progress reports to record children’s development and communicate with parents regularly.
Responsibilities for Teachers: #
• Student age range: 2–6 years old.
• Class size: 20–25 students in one class.
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day.
• Curriculum: multimedia-based
• Chinese Teaching Assistant: Have three Chinese teachers.
• Work content detail: Organize activities for children’s whole day; include teaching time, outdoor activity, learning center time, transition time, snack time, and other class activities. Participate in teacher’s & parent’s meetings and activities that are held in the kindergarten.
Requirements to Teach English: #
• Nationality: Native English Speaker.
• Age: less than 50 years old.
• Speaks English at an Idiomatic level.
• Degree: BA or above (Education, linguistics or English degree given top priority).
• Experience: TEFL / other teaching certificate OR 2 years teaching experience
required.

Longhua District has undergone a remarkable transformation from a functional area to an official administrative district. On Dec. 30, 2011, the new district of Longhua was established, incorporating Bao’an’s Longhua and Guanlan townships. On Jan. 7, 2017, it officially became an administrative district. Covering a total area of 175.6 square kilometers, Longhua District has jurisdiction over six subdistricts: Guanhu, Minzhi, Longhua, Dalang, Fucheng, and Guanlan. It also oversees 69 community workstations and 113 resident neighborhood committees. By the end of 2023, the district’s population had reached 2.52 million residents, with 680,000 registered households. After years of foundational work and long-term development, Longhua has evolved into an ideal, vibrant, and promising destination for entrepreneurs from around the world. The district is characterized by the following attributes:
Longhua District boasts a favorable location and excellent transportation links. Situated at the geometric center of Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), it borders six districts and one city: Longgang District to the east, Futian, Luohu, and Nanshan Districts to the south, Bao’an District to the west, and Guangming District and Dongguan City to the north. From Shenzhen North Railway Station, a major transportation hub in the GBA located in Longhua, it takes just 15 minutes to reach West Kowloon Railway Station in Hong Kong, 30 minutes to key areas of Shenzhen such as Qianhai and the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Zone, and only 4 hours to major cities like Xiamen, Changsha, and Wuhan.
Longhua District demonstrates strong economic performance. In 2023, the district’s GDP exceeded 300 billion yuan, with the total output of industries above a designated scale reaching over 613.6 billion yuan. Fixed asset investment increased by 20.5%, while total retail sales of consumer goods surpassed 135.3 billion yuan, reflecting a 7% growth. The district’s general public budgetary revenue rose to 16.78 billion yuan, an increase of 10.8%, and imports and exports grew by 2%. Emerging industries contributed 44.1% to the district’s regional GDP, with the advanced display apparatus cluster recognized as a national specialized industrial cluster for small and medium-sized enterprises. Longhua District ranks 13th among the top 100 industrial districts in China, with its high-quality development strength placing it 23rd among the China Center for Information Industry Development’s (CCID) top 100 districts in China and 40th among CCID’s top 100 districts for investment competitiveness.
Longhua District promotes scientific and technological innovation. The district is home to 1,913 industrial enterprises of significant scale, 3,765 national high-tech enterprises, 39 listed companies, and 91 national specialized and advanced small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) known for producing innovative and unique products. It serves as a provincial core area for the artificial intelligence (AI) industry and a provincial demonstration base for the industrial Internet. The district includes the Meiguan Innovation Corridor, a key segment of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao Sci-Tech Innovation Corridor, and hosts technology giants such as Huawei and Foxconn, alongside other manufacturing industry clusters. It boasts 349 innovation facilities, including the Guangdong High-Performance Medical Apparatus and Instruments Innovation Center—the city’s first national manufacturing innovation center and the country’s first of its kind—the Innovation Industrial Park of the Shenzhen Institute for Advanced Study of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and the Yashan Database of the Shenzhen Institute of Computing Science. Notably, in 2022, the district’s research and development expenditure increased by 5.7%, accounting for 3.85% of its regional GDP.
Longhua District has a beautiful ecological environment. Surrounded by mountains on three sides, the district is a national model for ecology-based communities. It features the Mission Hills Golf Club, a world-renowned golfing resort; the Guanlan Printmaking Village; the national 5A-rated Mission Hills Resort; the national 4A-rated Shanshui Tianyuan Resort; Yantai Mountain, one of Shenzhen’s top eight scenic spots; and the picturesque Guanlan River. The district boasts 168 parks and 285 kilometers of greenways, with a greening coverage rate of 43.8%. It is home to 22 national-level green factories, ranking second among all districts and new areas in Shenzhen. The district has been recognized as an exemplary model for environmental protection, and sustainable development, and serves as a national demonstration area for livable climate, soil and water conservation, and waste and carbon emission reduction.
Longhua enjoys rich and diverse cultures. It features Hakka, red, and fashion cultures and is home to the site of the Great Rescue of Chinese Cultural Celebrities. It has also added the total space of public sports and cultural facilities to over 6 million square meters by opening the north division of Shenzhen Library, the new venue of Shenzhen Art Gallery and other facilities, setting up studios for famous cultural and sports figures such as Meng Guanglu, Liu Dahua, Jiang Kun and Shan Jixiang, and successfully held signature cultural events such as the WCBA All Stars Competition and the Honor of Kings International Championship, CTTSL Finals, and WTA Longhua Open. Over 500 outstanding works of art produced in Longhua have won national, provincial, and municipal awards. The Dachuankeng Kylin Dance has been recognized and included in the national list of intangible cultural heritage. In the district, the Dalang Fashion Town, China Guanlan Original Printmaking Base, and the Guanlan Ancient Market-Guihutang Old Village area are among the 10 featured culture blocks in Shenzhen, and the Shangwei and New Who Art Villages are named as provincial feature villages of culture and tourism. The district is a demonstration tourist destination in Guangdong Province, with its mahogany culture tourist route and creative fashion industry tourist route selected as the 20 best industrial tourist routes in the province.
The livelihood of Longhua residents has greatly improved. The district now has 114 primary and middle schools and 16 educational groups, offering over 216,000 public school seats for compulsory education. It is the city’s first provincial pilot demonstration zone for education evaluation reform. The district is home to two 3-A hospitals—Longhua District People’s Hospital and Longhua Central Hospital—along with three municipal hospitals: Shenzhen Second Children’s Hospital, Shenzhen Xinhua Hospital, and the Longhua Hospital of Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital. It also has 113 community healthcare centers and 7,916 hospital beds. Longhua has been recognized as a national public health promotion area and a comprehensive demonstration area for chronic disease prevention and control. Since its establishment, the district has built more than 120,000 public housing units and allocated over 60,000. The Longhua Talent Park has been recognized as a national human resources service industrial park. Additionally, the district boasts Guangdong Province’s first entrepreneurship incubator for physically disabled people.
Longhua sets an outstanding example for grassroots governance. The district is implementing a multilateral and intelligence methodology in meditating and resolving disputes, which has been recognized nationwide. It has become an exemplary model among county-level prefectures, which greatly streamlined the process of solving complaints and other civil affairs. The country’s first county-level mediation court and the city’s first mediation committee for family disputes related to China’s Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan compatriots and foreigners are established in Longhua. Seven communities from Longhua are recognized at the provincial level for their implementation of grassroots-level democracy and the rule of law. The district is also among the first batch of demonstration areas for safe development in Guangdong.
Longhua District will adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, implement the guiding principles of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), as well as the key messages from the Second and Third Plenary Sessions of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC. The district will also follow President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions regarding Guangdong and Shenzhen. In accordance with the decisions and directives of the municipal Party committee and government, Longhua District will continue to promote digital development throughout the district, build itself into a high-quality core area along Shenzhen’s central axis, and contribute to the city’s growth as a global economic center and a modern international metropolis.
