Introduction (10 minutes): #
Day 1: The Sun and the Sea
Activity 1: Introduction to the Sun
Begin with a discussion: “What do you see in the sky during a sunny day?”
Read a short story or poem about the sun.
Activity 2: Craft – Sun Plate
Students create a sun using a paper plate, coloring it yellow and adding sun rays using colored paper strips.
Activity 3: Introduction to the Sea
Ask: “Where does the sun rise? Over the sea! Have you been to the sea?”
Discuss the sea and its relationship with the sun.

Day 2: Rain and Clouds
Activity 1: Rain Sounds
Allow students to mimic the sound of rain using their fingers tapping on the table, on their laps, etc.
Activity 2: Craft – Cotton Clouds
Students glue cotton balls on blue paper to represent clouds. They can then use blue crayons to add raindrops.

Day 3: Wind
Activity 1: Wind Blowing
Discuss how wind feels. Let students blow paper pieces to mimic wind.
Activity 2: Windy Day Drawing
Students draw a scene of a windy day, e.g., trees bending, hats flying away, etc.

The wind is blowing, oh so strong,

Day 4: Snow
Activity 1: Snowflakes Falling
Discuss snow and its characteristics. How it’s cold, white, and falls from the sky.
Activity 2: Snowflake Craft
Using white paper, students can cut out snowflake shapes.

Snowflakes, snowflakes, dance around,

Day 5: Recap and Fun Day
Activity 1: Weather Sorting Game
Print or draw pictures of different weather elements. Let students categorize them.
Activity 2: Story Time
Read a comprehensive story that incorporates all weather elements discussed.

What’s the weather, what’s the weather,

Is it sunny, is it rainy,

Assessment: Through discussions, crafts, and songs, ensure students can identify each weather element and describe its characteristics.
Extension: For extended learning, introduce simple weather instruments like a thermometer or a wind vane. Also, you can have a themed dress-up day where students dress according to their favorite weather!
